Carolinas HealthCare Blue Ridge (CHBR) held their annual Veterans Day observance on Friday, November 10 at the Morganton Campus. CHBR Senior Vice President Thomas Eure welcomed local and regional business leaders, elected officials and honored veterans before introducing JROTC members from East Burke, Freedom and Draughn High School for arrival of the colors.
After the Roll of Honor was read, CHBR President and CEO, Kathy Baily delivered the community’s Expression of Gratitude and welcomed J. Michael Bridges, Chairman of the Carolinas HealthCare Blue Ridge (CHBR) Board of Directors and President of Bridgeway Solutions, to the podium for the formal introduction of the keynote speaker, North Carolina’s Lt. Governor Dan Forest.
Music was provided by Draughn, East Burke, Freedom and Patton High School Choruses presenting the national anthem, “God Bless America” and closing the ceremony with “A Parting Blessing.” A luncheon followed for all attendees.
