ScholarChip's touch screen point-of-sale terminal works with student and staff smart card IDs to create accurate cafeteria transactions and transmit them to the data center for inventory and account management. 

Replenishing the student account is quick and easy through a web interface. The system interfaces seamlessly with the ScholarChip payment gateway allowing parents to manually or automatically add funds to student accounts online. 

Not only does it interface with the payment gateway, ScholarChip's POS terminal is linked to the school's student information system and sends an alert for food allergies, caloric counts, and other dietary concerns unique to the student. 

ScholarChip POS also manages free and reduce lunch accounts - no need for students to acknowledge payment assistance as everyone "pays" with their ID card.
